isInverted

boolean isInverted()

Indicates whether normal ordering is inverted.

Returns:

true if ordering is descending, false otherwise.

decodeFieldComparisonBytes

void decodeFieldComparisonBytes(BinaryReader source,
                              int fieldIndex,
                              boolean skip)

Decodes those bytes that are needed for byte-wise comparison.

Parameters:

source - the reader containing the encoding

fieldIndex - the index of the field being decoded

skip - a value of true means decode the bytes but don't set on target
