Controls the detail level of the statistics calculated by SummaryStatistics. You can thus trade execution time for level of detail.

SINGLE_PASS_ONLY_SIMPLE

Computes all simple statistics that can be calculated in a single pass over the data. This includes the following:

1. totalFrequency: calculated for all fields
2. missingFrequency: calculated for all fields
3. min: calculated for all fields
4. max: calculated for all fields
5. mean: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double
6. stddev: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double
7. variance: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double
8. sum: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double
9. sumSquares: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double

When configured with this setting, SummaryStatistics will run the fastest.

SINGLE_PASS_ONLY

Computes all statistics that can be calculated in a single pass over the data. This includes everything that was available via SINGLE_PASS_ONLY_SIMPLE plus the following:

1. correlation: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double
2. covariance: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double

MULTI_PASS

Computes all statistics. This includes everything that was available via SINGLE_PASS_ONLY plus the following:

1. intervalCounts: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double
2. valueCounts: calculated for all fields
3. quantiles: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double
4. median: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double
5. interQuartileRange: calculated for fields of type int, long, float, or double

values

public static DetailLevel[] values()

Returns an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared. This method may be used to iterate over the constants as follows:

for (DetailLevel c : DetailLevel.values())
    System.out.println(c);

Returns:

an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared

valueOf

public static DetailLevel valueOf(String name)

Returns the enum constant of this type with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this type. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)

Parameters:

name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.

Returns:

the enum constant with the specified name

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if this enum type has no constant with the specified name

NullPointerException - if the argument is null
